6 item(s) (medium) uncooked bell pepper(s) 2 pound(s) cooked 99% fat-free ground turkey breast 1 medium uncooked onion(s) 2 Tbsp minced garlic 2 oz fat-free feta cheese 1 1/2 cup(s) restaurant type steamed Chinese white rice 1 Tbsp extra virgin olive oil 2 tsp table salt 2 tsp black pepper 2 tsp crushed red pepper flakes 1 oz parmesan cheese 15 oz canned tomato sauce
- Cut off tops of peppers and clean out ribs and seeds from inside
- Preheat skillet to medium on stovetop
- Dice onion and begin to brown
- In a large bowl, begin to mix the turkey, cooked rice, spices, feta cheese, 2-3 ounces of sauce and oil
- Add garlic to the skillet when the onions are almost fully browned
- Let the onions and garlic cool for a few minutes
- Mix the onions/garlic well into the turkey mixture
- Stuff the peppers with the turkey mixture and arrange in your slow cooker pot
- Pour the remaining sauce over and around the peppers
- Top each pepper with some shaved parmesan
- Cook on the low setting for 6 hours or until the meat is cooked through
